As the Workforce Accommodation Strategist you will focus on the delivery and management of Powerlink's workforce accommodation, you’ll help us connect a more sustainable energy future for more than five million Queenslanders and 241,000 businesses.   • Competitive Salary starting from $194,000 plus 14.75% Super for a 10-day, 80 hour fortnight.

The opportunity:

 

As a Workforce Accommodation Strategist, you will provide expert support in enabling the development, execution and management of workforce accommodation for our existing and future infrastructure projects. 

You will be the subject matter expert for workforce accommodation matters, providing strategic and practical advice in delivery of practical workforce accommodation plans and solutions. 

 

In this vital role you will enable and support Powerlink in delivering best practice services and outcomes for our workforce, our customers, land owners, stakeholders and Queensland communities.
 

The people you'll join:

 

You will be joining our larger Property Team in our Major Projects Division based in our Brisbane head office. This role will be working closely with our project and operational teams in establishing appropriate, fit for purpose, Powerlink work force accommodation and facilities in regional Queensland areas supporting our project delivery.

 

This role will require regular travel to regional and sometimes remote Queensland communities. 
 

What you'll bring:

 

In this vital role you will bring your workforce accommodation expertise to manage Powerlink’s property and land assets for our workforce accommodation to ensure optimal delivery of our major infrastructure projects.

 

You will have successfully negotiated and managed third party agreements and other such property rights both on behalf of and for similar entities as Powerlink.

 

You have a strong commitment to ensuring community expectations and legislative requirements are adhered to and contribute to Powerlinks  reputation and Social Licence to operate.

 

You are a people person with great relationship building skills. You are comfortable influencing change and collaborating with others to deliver corporate outcomes in short timeframes. 

 

Ideally, you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of the legislative and regulatory frameworks in which we operate related to land and tenure management and workforce accommodation. 

 

Required qualifications and experience 
 

 

Degree level qualifications in Property, Law, or Environment coupled with significant relevant industry experience ideally in land and tenure management and workforce accommodation.
