The opportunity:

 

During the four-year program, you will inspect, maintain and refurbish Powerlink's high-voltage transmission lines. Over the course of the program, you will receive guidance from experienced tradespersons while completing your trade requirements. Additionally, you will acquire certifications including First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and High-Risk Work licenses (e.g., Elevated Work Platform).

 

Upon successful completion of the program, you will obtain a Certificate III in ESI - Transmission Overhead (UET30521). This certification opens pathways to various career opportunities such as Transmission Live Linesperson, Barehand Live Linesperson Work Site Supervisor, and Lines Section Leader within the industry.

 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • Hold an open or provisional manual "C" Class driver's license

 

The people you'll join:

 

You'll be joining our passionate Field Delivery division based in Brisbane. Our dedicated Transmission Lines team loves exploring how electricity works, climbing up to 80 metres on our transmission towers, travelling all over Queensland and ensuring they get things done safely.

 

The team thrives on challenges and is always eager to tackle new tasks with a positive attitude. They are committed to delivering excellent service and ensuring the smooth operation of their projects.
