The opportunity:
Being one of our linespersons, you'll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with down-to-earth people who you're proud to work with and get to know.
Being one of our linespersons, you'll become a valued member of a field work group carrying out maintenance, repair and construction on the overhead Transmission Lines on steel and concrete structures up to 330kV by using dead and live line/barehand techniques. The main role of the team is to deliver effective Transmission Line maintenance, refurbishment and capital project work as well as emergency repair work.
The people you'll join:
As a member of the Field and Asset Management Team within the Transmission and Easements Delivery Team, you will join a dedicated team focused on the maintenance of our high voltage transmission network, running from far north Queensland to the New South Wales border.
Based in this collaborative environment, your role will involve working closely with our teams of professionals to deliver effective offset solutions that support sustainable infrastructure development, with safety as a focus.
What you'll bring:
- Qld Transmission linesperson electrical licence (or the ability to obtain one)
- Current LVR & CPR Certification
- High Risk Work Licence - Elevated Work Platform
- A current ‘HR' Class drivers licence
- Nationally recognised live line and/or barehand qualifications
- Dogging and advanced Rigging certificates are desirable.
- The ability to travel to remote locations and work closely with team members, you also will enjoy variety in your work, complex problem solving, plus have a passion for providing high quality outcomes.
- Distribution qualified linespersons can apply as we can assist in obtaining your Transmission licence
