The opportunity:

 

As a Social Performance Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and implementing social performance strategies, impact assessments, community investment plans and performance monitoring for critical infrastructure projects. You will also:

 

  • Support the development and implementation of Social Impact Assessments and Community Investment Plans.
  • Provide guidance on complex social and community issues, ensuring sustainable outcomes with communities and stakeholders.
  • Identify social risks and develop actionable strategies in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to planning, delivery, and monitoring of community engagement and investment programs that create shared value.
  • Represent Powerlink in discussions with government and sector stakeholders on community relations and social performance matters.

You will join a dedicated team of professionals within our Community and Social Performance team that play a critical role in the way Powerlink engages with communities and stakeholders across Queensland. The team is passionate about delivering meaningful social outcomes and fostering respectful, long-term relationships that support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. With a collaborative and supportive culture, the team values open communication, shared learning, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:

 

  • A degree in Social Science, Environmental Studies, Communications or similar discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in social performance, community engagement, risk analysis, and stakeholder management within infrastructure or linear project settings.
  • Strong understanding of land access issues, community dynamics, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement.
  • Experience with Social Impact Assessment methodologies, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
