The opportunity:
As the Senior Portfolio Delivery Advisor, you play a lead role in shaping the BITDD Program Portfolio. This position ensures Portfolio alignment with enterprise priorities, drives governance excellence, and supports effective delivery across initiatives. The role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and operational oversight.
You will:
- Lead strategic Portfolio planning and initiative alignment using governance and assurance frameworks, translating priorities into actionable plans informed by data and trends
- Guide project teams in alignment with delivery and assurance frameworks
- Represent the Portfolio in cross-functional forums, managing stakeholder engagement
- Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations, maintain accurate portfolio data to support strategic data-driven decisions
- Oversee minor works delivery, ensuring quality through review of business cases, change requests, project plans and other key project documentation
The people you'll join:
Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will be a key part of the Program Portfolio team. The Program Portfolio team encompasses the management and delivery of a collection of projects and programs that align with Powerlink's strategic and operational technology goals. The team is responsible for ensuring that IT initiatives are executed effectively, align with business objectives, and deliver value to the organisation.
What you'll bring:
- Degree-level or Diploma level qualification in Information Technology, Business, Project Management or other relevant field
You’ll be a strategic thinker with governance expertise, having the ability to align portfolio initiatives to enterprise priorities. You should be skilled in applying risk management and assurance frameworks to guide decision-making and ensure delivery quality.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, including the ability to lead, manage escalations, and influence across diverse audiences.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is key, with experience in presenting insights to executive stakeholders. The role also requires sound financial acumen to assess budgets, forecasts, and investment plans, along with the ability to oversee project delivery and review key project delivery documentation.
A proactive, collaborative mindset and attention to detail will support success in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, with a focus on continuous improvement.
