The opportunity:
As a Senior IT Support Officer, you’ll be the trusted technical expert who ensures our people have the reliable technology and responsive support they need to get things done. You’ll deliver advanced IT assistance across our Virginia site, solving problems, improving systems, and helping users make the most of their technology.
In this role, you will;
- Deliver hands-on and remote support for a broad range of end-user technologies, providing prompt solutions and maintaining high service standards
- Manage and deploy desktops, laptops and mobile devices, using tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Intune to maintain a secure, efficient computing environment
- Install and maintain office hardware including monitors and printers
- Manage and collaborate on hardware refresh projects for end user devices, including coordinating users communication and managing stock
- Support collaboration and communication platforms, including Microsoft Teams and meeting room technology, to keep our teams connected and productive
- Create user-friendly documentation and training materials, and drive improvements in IT service delivery by listening to feedback and refining processes
The people you'll join:
Reporting to the Technical Services Team Leader, you will be a key part of the IT Operations team. The IT Operations team are responsible for the day-to-day technical support to operate corporate systems, aiming to increase productivity and minimise disruptions through quick resolution of user queries and incidents.
What you'll bring:
- Recently completed certifications in Microsoft 365 or significant relevant experience
- Significant hands on experience providing technical and advanced support to end-user computer technologies
You’re a customer focused IT professional with a history of delivering advanced technical support in corporate environments. Your strong communication skills will enable you to explain complex technical problems to non-technical stakeholders.
You’ll have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, desktop management, and application deployment, and you’re comfortable working with technologies such as Active Directory, Entra, and Exchange.
Your problem-solving abilities are matched by your commitment to IT service excellence, and you’re always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes for users. Whether supporting users in person or remotely, you bring a proactive approach, a passion for knowledge sharing, and the ability to adapt to new challenges.
