  • Competitive Salary starting from $229,486 + 14.75% super (10-day fortnight salary that includes working an on call roster )

The opportunity:

 

As our Security Systems Specialist, you will be at the forefront of designing and optimising our security system architecture, including CCTV, intruder detection systems, and electronic access control. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure our security systems are robust, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.

 

Further to this, you will;

 

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise electronic security systems architecture
  • Create and publish technical security designs
  • Ensure our security systems are scalable and resilient to protect our critical infrastructure
  • Oversee the seamless integration of security systems across all Powerlink facilities
  • Develop and implement installation, configuration, and maintenance procedures
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all security systems
  • Manage system upgrades and patches to keep our security systems current and effective

 

 

This role also requires;

 

  • Participation in an On-Call Roster
  • Frequent driving and regional based travel (vehicle provided)
  • Overnight stays in regional areas (occasional)

The people you'll join:

 

Based in our Virginia office, you will work within the Protective Security and Authorisations Team which is part of our Operational Engineering division, and you’ll report into the Team Leader Protective Security Operations and Governance.

What you'll bring:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation & Control
  • QLD Security Advisors Licence or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Gallagher certification

 

You will have a high level of knowledge and skill in managing the implementation of complex security design and systems within the critical infrastructure sector.

 

With significant hands-on experience managing physical security projects, you have demonstrated success in designing and managing multiple fast-paced security systems projects.

 

You will be bring significant experience working with Gallagher systems and be an expert in this space. Previous experience of CCTV and VMS systems is also required.

 

Additionally, you have strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of working effectively with technical stakeholders.
