- Lead the design and drafting of secondary systems circuitry and protection schemes for high-voltage transmission projects.

The opportunity:
Are you ready to make an impact in the world of electrical engineering? Powerlink is looking for a skilled Secondary Systems Engineering Officer to support the design of HV and EHV transmission systems, working on both operational and project-focused tasks.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing secondary systems and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with Powerlink’s standards. Your work will focus on Safety in Design, considering the full lifecycle of the systems you design. As a key player on the team, you'll collaborate with designers and stakeholders, ensuring that designs are successful and that progress is communicated effectively.
You'll also ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared and that quality management processes are always followed. Keeping Powerlink’s systems, such as the Configuration Management System (CMS) and Drawing Management System (DMS), up to date will be part of your daily work.
The people you'll join:
Based in Virginia, you will join our Secondary Systems Design team within the Design Solutions Group, reporting to the Team Leader Secondary Systems Design
What you'll bring:
If you have an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and are experienced with drafting secondary systems circuitry, protection schemes, and using CAD software like MicroStation, we’d love to hear from you.
Experience with drafting standards, document control tools, and office software is essential, and familiarity with primary system design and telecommunication design is a bonus.
