The opportunity:

As a Protective Security Intelligence Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development, coordination, and delivery of security intelligence capabilities and support services with the enterprise Protective Security team.  

 

Drive enterprise-wide threat intelligence – you’ll lead the development of targeted threat assessments, strategic briefing products, and real time intelligence products that enable risk-based security planning and early intervention.

 

This isn’t a routine security role. You’ll join a small, high-performing team that thrives on solving complex challenges, balancing strategic foresight with operational precision. Your work will have real-world impact - informing critical decisions, managing emerging threats, and ensuring we stay ahead of evolving security risks 

The people you'll join:

Sitting within Field and Asset Management Division, the Protective Security and Authorisations team is accountable for business wide protective security service compliance and protection functions, protecting Powerlink from activism, terrorism and criminal activity whilst managing the strategic development and application of enterprise physical security plans, systems and standards for the business. 

 

‘Based in Virginia, your role will see you identifying and managing real time security intelligence, reporting and trending to support next steps and stay ahead of evolving risk(s).

What you'll bring:

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in protective security, intelligence analysis, and threat assessment, with a proven ability to interpret complex risk environments and translate intelligence into actionable security outcomes. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience working with government, law enforcement, or critical infrastructure sectors will be essential to succeed in this role.

 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance (NV1 within 12 months)
  • Diploma level qualification in either Security/Intelligence, Data Science, Policing, Law or, lesser qualification coupled with experience in Intelligence Analysis, data science or policing.
