The opportunity:
As a Project Delivery Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in the efficient, and high-quality delivery of critical transmission infrastructure projects across Queensland. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will support the coordination of multiple high-voltage projects - from initial planning through to construction and commissioning - helping to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with Powerlink’s standards and strategic objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed Project Management Plans that address all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, cost, and risk management. You will assist with the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates, ensuring alignment with the expectations of project sponsors. In addition, you’ll contribute to the development of contract specifications, support tender evaluations, and help manage contracts with design, construction, and testing partners.
A strong focus will be placed on coordinating project activities across multiple sites, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with Powerlink’s policies, environmental and safety regulations, and cultural heritage commitments. You will actively support the development of delivery and construction strategies, identify and mitigate key project risks, and contribute to successful outcomes during both planning and execution phases.
Site presence will occasionally be required to support the delivery of construction and commissioning works, reinforcing your role as a hands-on contributor to project success. You'll also build and maintain productive working relationships with project teams, contractors, service providers, and external stakeholders, representing Powerlink in a professional manner.
The people you'll join:
As part of our Infrastructure Delivery team, you’ll be joining a highly experienced and collaborative team of project professionals who are passionate about delivering critical energy infrastructure that supports Queensland’s future. Our team is made up of skilled project managers and specialists who work together in a supportive, safety-first environment. We value open communication, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to excellence.
What you'll bring:
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll have:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management; OR a diploma with significant experience in a project or construction support role.
- The ability to support projects and operational objectives, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
- Strong attention to detail
