The opportunity:

 

As our Infrastructure & Operations Security Advisor, In this role, you will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of security services, including guarding and patrols, alarm monitoring, security incident response, critical incident management, protective security advice, investigations, and more. Your efforts will be crucial in supporting Powerlink’s core business functions and protecting against acts of unlawful interference and other significant security risks.

 

Further to this, you will;

 

  • Provide protective security advice and services to the business
  • Conduct reviews of protective security arrangements to ensure compliance
  • Lead security investigations, providing detailed reports and recommendations
  • Develop and implement local instructions and processes for protective security operations
  • Manage security guarding, CCTV monitoring functions, and systems, including outsourced security personnel and related contracts
  • Promote a robust security culture through awareness information and briefings
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

The people you'll join:

 

Based in our Virginia office, you will work within the Protective Security and Authorisations Team which is part of our Operational Engineering division, and you’ll report into the Team Leader Protective Security Operations and Governance.

What you'll bring:

 

  • Cert in Security Operations
  • QLD Security Advisors Licence or ability to obtain within 3 months

 

You will have proven experience in contracted guarding management and delivering Protective Security services and advice. You will also bring previous experience working with Gallagher systems.
 

Strong stakeholder management skills are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to excel in this role.
