- Lead and support the development, maintenance, and improvement of critical EMS systems, ensuring 24/7 availability for Powerlink and its customers.

The opportunity:
As an EMS Support Engineer, you will play a key part in the ongoing development and improvement of our team’s standards, data management, processes, software tools, and work procedures, all while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers. You’ll also be involved in implementing urgent operational solutions and contributing to the successful delivery of capital projects.
As a crucial member of the Energy Management Systems Team, you’ll lead efforts to maintain and support the SCADA data systems, databases, and software applications essential to our operations. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all technical requirements are met, and that the EMS is always available, reliable, and resilient.
Your expertise will be pivotal in the analysis, implementation, and review of technical systems such as SCADA/RTU, Databases, HMI/displays, and the High Voltage network model.
The people you'll join:
Based in Virginia, you will work within the Operations and Service Delivery Division, reporting directly into the Energy Management Systems Team Leader.
What you'll bring:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Systems Engineering, or considerable hands-on experience with EMS.
Knowledge of SCADA systems, data communication technologies, and fault management are essential, as is experience working with control systems. We also value experience in applying legislative requirements, managing projects, and developing ITIL-based methodologies.
