- Competitive Salary starting from $158,799 + 14.75% Super – 9-day fortnight.

The opportunity:
As a Business Strategist, you will be responsible for supporting the Strategy Team in generating, evaluating, and selecting strategic choices and business modelling to drive Powerlink's future direction. You will help shape the frameworks and processes that enable the creation and execution of 3 to 5-year strategies, ensuring that they align with the organisation’s overall purpose, objectives, and goals.
This role will be responsible for conducting external and internal environmental scans, analysing and interpreting information, and informing strategic decisions.
Your role will also involve actively engaging with leaders at all levels to ensure the strategic approach is understood, supported, and successfully implemented across Powerlink.
Playing a central role, you will be working across the business to develop strategic metrics and strategy dashboard to enable effective tracking of strategic progress.
Support the Strategy Team in generating and evaluating strategic choices to drive Powerlink's future direction.
Help shape the frameworks and processes that enable the creation and execution of strategies, ensuring that they align with the organisation’s overall purpose and objectives.
This role will also involve actively engage and partner with divisions and leaders at all levels to ensure the strategic approach is understood, supported, and successful implemented.
The people you'll join:
Based in Virginia, you will work within the Energy Futures Division, reporting directly into the Manager Business Strategy.
What you'll bring:
Relevant degree level qualification relating to development and implementation of business strategy, business management, commerce, or a lower-level qualification coupled with significant experience in a Strategy role.
We are also looking for someone with great analytical and communication skills, who is a future focused thinker.
You will bring with you a strategy toolkit enhanced by experience in similar or related role, including:
- proven knowledge of contemporary strategy frameworks and methodologies, and experience in supporting strategy development and execution.
- demonstrating excellent foresight, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to prepare high quality strategic documentation for senior management.
- Experience in designing and implementing business scorecards and cascading objectives through an organisaiton.
- Experience in scenario planning to inform strategic direction is desirable
