  • Competitive Salary starting from $169,967 (10 day fortnight)
  • Available to you is the option to work a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week

The opportunity:

 

As a Database Administrator for our Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS) project, you will instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our database systems.

 

Further to this, you will;

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with developers and engineers to improve application performance
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server instances, ensuring proper installation, upgrading, and maintenance of database applications
  • Develop and implement robust database security policies, perform regular database audits, and diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
  • Monitor system performance, resolve bottlenecks, and continuously optimise database performance
  • Design and implement comprehensive database backup strategies, maintain database schemas, tables, and indexes, and provide technical support for SQL Server environments

We are seeking passionate professionals to help us deliver cutting-edge technologies that will streamline processes, enhance customer experience, and introduce innovative ways of working. 

What you'll bring:

 

  • Degree qualification in IT or a lesser qualification coupled with significant experience

 

You will have hands-on experience in database management and support, coupled with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server. You will possess strong knowledge of database management systems and be proficient in database query languages. An understanding and background with DevOps would be preferrable. Experience with Energy Management (EMS) systems or SCADA systems would be advantageous.

 

You will bring excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, along with good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, including senior management. You will be self-driven with a strong initiative to identify areas for improvement.
