The opportunity:

 

As the Bid Manager for our Major Customers group you will manage the development of significant High Voltage Transmission projects involving our direct connect customers for Powerlink.

 

You will engage with, provide expert advice and influence upstream and downstream stakeholders as well as customers at senior management levels.

 

You will drive excellence in proposal development and strategically manage the end-to-end proposal process on multiple HV transmission network connection projects concurrently.

 

This is an initial 24 months temporary position to establish and mobilize the bid team and function. You will need to collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure the submission of competitive, compliant and compelling proposals in order to secure project wins for Powerlink Queensland.

The people you'll join:

 

You will be part of our Major Customers Group based in our Virginia head office and lead a professional bid team in structuring and positioning proposals across multiple HV Transmission connection projects.

 

This position will report to the Manager Major Customers and will create success through successful collaboration with upstream and downstream stakeholders and customers. 


What you'll bring:

 

Degree level qualifications in Engineering, Business, Management, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying and/or coupled with extensive demonstrated experience in project development and delivery, project leadership or bid and tender processes.

 

You will have comprehensive experience in HV transmission lines and substations project delivery within a high-pressure commercial environment.

 

Demonstrated capability in managing the full bid lifecycle, from market positioning and proposal development to contract negotiation and award, ensuring alignment with governance, risk, and commercial objectives
