The opportunity:
Starting in Reception for the first three months, you'll be meeting and greeting visitors, providing security access cards, scheduling transport, answering phones and providing customer service to all the visitors that come to Powerlink. This could include members of Government, company representatives, members of the public or new employees!
You will also spend some time in the Mail Room, liaising with couriers, supporting with mail distribution, archiving and advising employees of their deliveries. Part of your traineeship will be spent in Admin teams throughout the business where you will also be trained in Financial Administration, Travel Bookings, Uniform & Stationary Ordering, Catering and assisting with functions and events throughout the year.
The people you'll join:
You will report to the Team Leader of Administration and Corporate Services in the Communications, Customer, and Engagement team. Joining a large team of administrators supporting the Powerlink business, you’ll work a 9-day fortnight from 8:15 AM to 5:05 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break each day. Enjoy plenty of free onsite parking or a convenient walk from Virginia Train Station!
Your expertise:
We're looking for a warm, friendly and organised self-starter who's a good team-player and who loves providing great customer service. You'll have good time management, great people skills, and be motivated by helping others. You'll have finished Year 12, with a pass in English and Math and have an interest in working in a corporate or administrative environment.
While you won't need any administration experience, you will need to have a passion for learning and acquiring new skills and be open to feedback. Some days will be varied, some days may feel repetitive - we're looking for somebody who want's long-term development and appreciates the opportunities available to them once they finish!
