• Available to you will be working a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week.

As our High Voltage Electrician - Substation Trade Technician, you'll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you'll do it with down-to-earth people who you're proud to work with and get to know.

The community you will join

Reporting to the Substation Section leader and based in Townsville, you will become part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of work, enhancing brand integrity, and contributing to the organisation's overall success in serving its customers and the broader community.

Your expertise

• Qld Electrical Fitter / Mechanic licence
• Current LVR & CPR Certification
• High Risk Work Licence - Elevated Work Platform
• A current ‘C' Class drivers licence

Noting that Powerlink may support you in acquiring some of these on the job.

We'd also love you to have:

• Demonstrated ability to maintain, construct and operate substation equipment rated up to 330 kV
• A background in safely maintaining, constructing and operation of High Voltage electrical substation equipment with a Transmission, Distribution or large-scale Contractor organisation
• The ability to travel to substations and work closely with team members, you also will enjoy variety in your work, complex problem solving, plus have a passion for providing high quality outcomes.
