 As the Customer Service Officer, you’ll help us connect a more sustainable energy future for more than five million Queenslanders and 253,000 businesses. Your work with us is about every light turned on, every community connected, and every future made possible.  

 

  • Available to you will be working a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week with other flexible working arrangements also considered.
  • Competitive remuneration package + 12.75% superannuation. 
  • Additional leave purchasing.
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave – at full or half pay.

As a Customer Service Officer, you will support the smooth operation of regional hubs and broader business support objectives. Responsible for delivering exemplary customer service and comprehensive administrative assistance, they execute tasks with precision and promptness. The Customer Service Officer may also oversee and train others. Collaborating with colleagues, they ensure consistency in administrative processes and continuously refine systems for enhanced efficiency. Working closely with our Business Services team, they maintain high reception standards, enhancing Powerlink's reputation.

 

We are currently recruiting two Customer Service Officers, one in Townsville and the other in Gladstone. 

 

The community you will join

The Customer Service Officer will be under the supervision of the Hub Manager and will operate from either Townsville or Gladstone, joining a cohesive team dedicated to delivering excellence in service.

Your expertise

  • Certificate in Business Administration or demonstrated relevant experience working in a similar role.
     

We’d also love you to have:

 

  • Prior administrative experience, including handling invoice payments and data reconciliation.
  • Experience with data processing, emphasising accuracy and the capability to analyse data for reporting.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in business software applications such as MS Office, SAP, and Objective.
  • The ability to thrive in a customer-centric service environment.
