As our Townsville based Administration Officer, you will look to enhance our team and contribute to the seamless operation of our services. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficiency and delivering top-notch administrative support.

 

You will have a wide range of responsibilities, including onsite reception, site-specific administration, staff orientation, facility requests, catering requests, and health and safety coordination. Additionally, the Administration Officer will support the Major Projects Division by managing overflow generalist administration tasks such as travel bookings, invoice payments, purchase requisition creation, and document control. 
 

Key to your success is your high attention to detail, strong organisational and customer service skills. Your daily responsibilities will include accurate data entry and record keeping, as well as developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication, organising travel and meetings, assisting with staff orientation and providing support on reception as required.

A permanent full-time Administration Officer is essential for the efficient operation of our Townsville Office. This position will report to the Office Coordinator of the Major Projects Office, ensuring seamless integration and support across all administrative functions.

 

You will have the opportunity to grow professionally and make a significant impact on our division’s success. You will collaborate closely with team members to achieve divisional goals and contribute positively to our work environment, which is focused on the delivery of world-class infrastructure projects.

 

Your expertise

 

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or related or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and skills in the use of business software such as MS Office, SharePoint, Objective, and SAP.

 

We’d also love you to have:

 

  • Experience in an administration or business support role within a team environment, with a demonstrated ability to efficiently apply, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of processes, procedures and in-house and web-based systems.
  • Data entry, processing and MS Office skills, with an emphasis on accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a customer service approach, initiative and discretion in engaging with stakeholders to support the achievement of team delivery.
