The opportunity:
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Team Leader Logistics Control Tower to lead a high-performing team and play a pivotal role in delivering materials for major construction and maintenance projects.
In this role, you will;
- Lead the strategic development of the Logistics Control Tower, aligning operations with long-term organisational goals
- Act as the central coordination point for inbound and outbound freight, ensuring seamless material planning and delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams, project stakeholders, and external partners to support the successful delivery of large-scale projects
- Work across multiple distribution centres to ensure statewide coordination of material requirements
- Drive change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions to new systems and processes
- Use data analytics to monitor logistics performance, report on KPIs, and ensure compliance with safety
- Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Lead responses to supply chain disruptions, implementing contingency plans to maintain service continuity

Powerlink is undergoing significant transformation in the way we deliver services to Queenslanders. With exponential growth already underway, and a significant pipeline of infrastructure projects on the horizon, our Supply Chain Services teams have never been more crucial in equipping our people with the resources to deliver to our strategy.
Our Warehouse & Logistics team has recently undergone an expansion, resulting in the creation of several new roles to support our increasing inventory to support upcoming infrastructure projects. As the Team Leader Logistics Control Tower, you’ll play a pivotal role in the strategic development of our Logistics Control Tower functions.
What you'll bring:
- Degree level qualification or a lesser qualification coupled with extensive experience in distribution operations
You’ll be an experienced logistics leader with a strong background in supply chain planning, freight operations, and distribution centre management. Your will have previous experience with project management—particularly in large-scale construction and maintenance environments. You bring a strategic mindset and a passion for process optimisation, backed by hands-on experience with advanced logistics systems as well as SAP experience, particularly within the Warehouse Management (WM) module.
What sets you apart is your ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes. You’re an exceptional communicator and negotiator, with proven stakeholder management skills that allow you to engage confidently with senior leaders, project teams, and external partners. Your analytical thinking and calm decision-making under pressure help you navigate complex logistics challenges, while your leadership fosters a culture of continuous improvement and high performance across your team.
