The opportunity:
As a Category Specialist – Logistics, you’ll be at the forefront of Powerlink’s logistics and fleet procurement strategy—driving value, resilience, and innovation across our supply chain.
You will;
- Lead the development and execution of category strategies for logistics
- Optimise packaging, transport, and storage through design for Logistics principles—enhancing efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
- Manage sourcing, contract implementation, and supplier performance to ensure continuity and compliance
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while delivering commercial and operational improvements
- Influence cross-functional teams and suppliers to unlock value-adding opportunities across logistics operations
The people you'll join:
Powerlink is undergoing significant transformation in the way we deliver services to Queenslanders. With exponential growth already underway, and a significant pipeline of infrastructure projects on the horizon, our Supply Chain Services teams have never been more crucial in equipping our people with the resources to deliver to our strategy.
Our Warehouse & Logistics team has recently undergone an expansion, resulting in the creation of several new roles to support our increasing inventory to support upcoming infrastructure projects.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Law or similar discipline or a lesser qualification coupled with significant category management experience
You’ll bring deep expertise in category management, procurement strategy, and supplier engagement, with a strong understanding of logistics operations and supply markets. Your ability to influence stakeholders and apply commercial acumen will be key to success in this role.
