As the Team Leader Transmission Line Electrical Design, you'll provide line design services for Powerlink through both internal and external design resources, and in accordance with our policies, procedures and requirements. You'll also:

 

  • Have the ability to monitor and ensure consistent implementation of transmission line design standards and specifications for both internal and outsourced designs. 
  • Lead and develop professional design staff who provide expert design support services to large infrastructure projects in electricity transmission.
  • Undertake complex problem-solving to achieve optimal design outcomes for our projects.
  • Developing team members' knowledge and skills through supervision, review, coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Undertake resource planning, work allocation, and coordination of both internal and outsourced resources to ensure timely design delivery.

Your expertise

 

  • You'll have a Bachelor of Engineering and be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), or have the ability to register for it.
  • You'll have knowledge and understanding of transmission line electrical design, and the construction and maintenance practices of lines.
  • You'll have proven capability with effective leadership of a technical team.
