Find a career that matters and lasts

The Senior Design Drafter role is all about leading and handling various civil/structural design drafting tasks for high voltage substations & underground cables.

As a Senior Design Drafter, you'll be planning and drafting to hit project milestones, doing site inspections, and solving problems alongside design engineers.

When it comes to civil/structural infrastructure for primary substations design, our team leads the way. We handle projects for both Powerlink and external customers.

We directly oversee drafting activities, making sure all drawings and documents for civil/structural designs comply with the relevant legislation. Our team provides expert advice, procurement support, and detailed reports on HV substation drawings. We cover all project phases, from concept to commissioning and maintenance.

We also offer intelligence and support, coaching and training our primary drafters to boost the team's capabilities. Plus, we manage external contractors to ensure they meet our design quality standards. As the first point of contact for design, scoping, budgeting, and timing of service delivery, we play a crucial role in the Primary Civil/Structural Design Team.

Our goal is to ensure that all drawings and activities provide value for money, are cost-efficient, constructible, on time, and on budget, all while following approved procedures and aesthetic requirements.
