SCADA Control Systems Team Leader

Powerlink is currently looking for a talented and passionate leader to head our new AEMS (Advanced Energy Management Systems) team. This 2 year, temporary role will see you leading a technical team to successfully deliver our Next Generation Network Operations (NGNO) programme of works.

Your key responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Manage the performance of team members, conduct regular reviews to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform work competently, and contribute to their ongoing professional development.
  • Drive the innovation, planning and organisation of the Advanced Energy Management System Team through:
    • works co-ordination;
    • preparation of development plans;
    • design of architecture and configuration;
    • design and implementation of build and configuration, and test and commissioning plans.
  • Monitor and develop the teams capability to achieve the Next Generation Network Operations (NGNO) programme of works including:
    • co-ordination and support for NGNO work streams allocated to the AEMS team;
    • database and display remediation, uplift and maintenance; and
    • AEMS testing.

About you

Your success in this position will rely on your previous experience successfully leading a technical team in achieve key goals and objectives, coupled with a degree in electrical engineering.

You have robust people management skills and are a strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with others and ensuring the vision and values of a team are realized. You have proven experience in analysing business requirements and proposing solutions and investigating and resolving faults, and are confident working independently and flexibly, in a rapidly changing environment.
