About the role

Our customers are the core of our business, as we strive to connect Queenslanders to a new energy future. Your role will be to manage and further develop the relationships we have with existing and potential customers.

Working with our direct customers, such as Generators, Network Service Providers you will:

  • Negotiate formal agreements;
  • Undertake investment analysis for customer proposals;
  • Liaise with senior customer representatives and industry stakeholders
  • Deliver complex commercial projects working across the business


You will get close to our customers and develop a deep understanding of their project drivers, risks, stakeholder concerns and commercial levers. From that understanding you will lead and contribute to internal business cases, board papers and project proposals.

About you

Your experience in proactive account management and business development in a previous role is a given, but what is most important is your best-practice customer focus, sense of urgency and ability to get things done. You have a toolkit that includes experience in commercial contract negotiation in an energy, telecommunications or consulting business coupled with a flair for stakeholder engagement and influence.

You have worked in a complex technical organisation and know how to get your head around details quickly. You are effective in delivering results through engaging across multidisciplinary business functions to assure customer outcomes. It will also be important for you to have demonstrated economic and or financial modelling experience.

Your qualifications include a degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance. If you also hold an MBA or post graduate qualification that will be highly regarded.

You have proven track record interpreting and ensuring compliance with the Queensland electrical act and Codes, the National Electricity Rules and or Telecommunications Act.
