About the role


Working as part of the newly established Supply Chain Services Group, you will join the Contracts Team and partner with various parts of the business to establish commercial contracts which are timely, cost effective and high quality.

Primarily you will partner with various internal customers in achieving value for money outcomes for procurements ranging from $250k to $20m or greater from the early planning/strategy stages through to award of the contract. You will achieve these outcomes through a range of traditional and innovative contracting methods. Additionally, you will guide and support various parts of the business with lower value/risk procurement performed by internal customers.

You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of work including construction services, high voltage plant and equipment, IT projects, corporate services and more.


Your role plays a part in helping to connect Queenslanders to a world-class energy future.


About the team

The Contracts Team is known for its positive culture, high levels of engagement and support of its team members. The Supply Chain Services Group is charged with transforming procurement and supply chain practices at Powerlink. The establishment of the group is only part of an exciting future of procurement at Powerlink which include major system and process upgrades to SAP and contracting systems and processes.

About you


You have a degree qualification in Contracts, Purchasing, Business, Finance or equivalent or lessor if coupled with extensive experience in procurement contracts.

You like working in a dynamic environment, with people who take their work seriously but who are also relaxed and can take time to laugh and connect. You will be working with complex matters that require innovative solutions and have the support of a very experienced team around you.

You can work with a level of independence and have a demonstrated ability to incorporate technical analysis/audit/financial/actuarial reports into a contractual or procurement recommendation.

You will also have extensive experience in:

  • Utilising Australian Standard Conditions of Contracts (AS4000 suite) and
  • Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) frameworks
