As the Platforms Team Leader you will support the Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS) Platform and its systems, including databases and PI Historian elements. You will work closely with the business to promote safe working practices, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and transition smoothly into operations.

 

You will;

 

  • Role-model and monitor organisational safety practices, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
  • Lead and inspire your team, setting clear objectives and addressing any issues to achieve outstanding results.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain business requirements for AEMS support
  • Offer expert advice on application capability and problem resolution
  • Plan and forecast software development activities to meet user requirements
  • Ensure effective security within applications to protect against threats
  • Develop and execute ITSM processes, ensuring robust security within applications and identifying improvement opportunities

This pivotal role, reporting directly to our AEMS Testing and Software Manager, is part of our Energy & Digital Management team. It requires a high degree of originality, ingenuity, judgment, and expertise.

 

We are seeking passionate professionals to help us deliver cutting-edge technologies that streamline processes, enhance customer experience, and introduce innovative ways of working.

Your expertise

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, Computer Science or Mathematical Sciences
  • Experience in leading teams managing concurrent development, implementation or support projects
  • Ability to translate operational goals into SMART performance objectives
  • Extensive experience in complying with architectural processes and standards
  • Strong capability to represent projects in customer discussions to advise on application design, development and support
  • Knowledge of systems/solutions lifecycle planning and roadmaps development
  • Proficiency in software configuration methodologies and customer-focused development
  • Experience in application/database design, performance, security, and integrity
