  • Competitive Salary starting from $200,000 + 14.75% super

The opportunity:

 

As the Acquisition - Landholder Projects Team Leader, you'll lead a specialist team working on complex capital projects across Queensland, ensuring strong relationships with landholders and other stakeholders are formed, providing the team with guidance, strategic advice and mentorship. You will also:

 

  • Foster and maintain strong, respectful relationships with landholders and communities in line with Powerlink’s Community Engagement Strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategies to resolve complex land access issues and risks, including consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive the successful delivery of capital projects by ensuring timely land access and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Champion landholder views within Powerlink, ensuring their perspectives are considered in decision-making.
  • Lead the development of training programs and promote best practices in landholder relations

The people you'll join:

 

As part of this team, you will work alongside experts who are passionate about fostering strong, respectful, and long-lasting relationships with landholders, Traditional Owners, and local communities. Together, you'll tackle complex challenges, ensuring that land access and community concerns are addressed with integrity and care throughout the delivery of major infrastructure projects. The team thrives on a shared commitment to Powerlink’s values, prioritizing communication, problem-solving, and collaboration to achieve successful project outcomes and contribute to sustainable community partnerships across Queensland.

What you'll bring:

 

  • Degree in Environmental or Social Science, Communications, Archaeology, Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of land access issues for electricity transmission infrastructure or similar projects 
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams in both field and office environments.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to resolve land access and community concerns.
  • Deep understanding of land access legislation and issues relevant to linear infrastructure projects.
