As the General Manager – Field Delivery, you will lead the Field and Works delivery teams, ensuring efficient maintenance, project and customer work on all Powerlink’s assets. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role carries out critical responsibilities that are pivotal to Powerlink’s success. 
 

Specifically, you will:

  • Implement and drive safety strategies, policies, and practices to continuously elevate safety performance within Field Delivery and Powerlink. 
  • Lead and drive Field Delivery’s state-wide resource planning function for all maintenance, projects, and customer work to ensure an integrated works plan is maintained.
  • Direct and facilitate the scheduling and delivery of all maintenance, refurbishment and capital project work to ensure it is completed to agreed commitments and requirements, and when unplanned outages do occur, restoration is completed with minimal effect on overall work delivery. 
  • Lead and drive the regionalisation strategy for field services in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ensure effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, engendering a strong internal customer focus associated with project and maintenance delivery. 
     

An integral member of the Operations & Services Delivery leadership team, you will support the Chief Operating Officer in achieving the division’s direction through the delivery of both strategic and operational priorities.

With proven capability to lead within a field-based workforce, you will demonstrate proven expertise in strategic management across diverse divisional functions. With strong business acumen, you will have a penchant for adopting contemporary ways of working, with the ability to think critically and understand key business drivers, translating these into sound commercial principles in all areas of responsibility. 


You will enjoy collaborating closely with senior leadership to align workforce planning with future divisional needs.  Your dedication to fostering a culture of development will be evident as you strive to enhance employee engagement, capability, and ultimately, cultivate a high-performing group ethos.


You are open and adept at working at both the strategic and operational levels, with the ability to translate business strategy into operational plans, ensuring that planning demonstrates measurable, cost-effective delivery of key outcomes and clear alignment to strategic goals. Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the National Electricity Rules, Electricity Act, and Workplace Health & Safety Acts is highly advantageous.
