As a Senior Project Scheduler, your primary responsibility will be optimise project management time performance and control through supporting Project Managers with planning, scheduling and resource management, in accordance with agreed project management methodologies, processes and tools, and to contribute towards the resource optimisation of the delivery portfolio of projects.


  • Support the Project Managers with developing and monitoring the project schedule, ensuring schedule structure and logic complies with Project Office requirements.
  • Manage the baselining of project schedules.
  • Run risk scenarios against project risk registers to determine risk impacts and effectiveness of any mitigations. This includes Monte Carlo and Bow Tie risk modelling. 
  • Perform critical path analysis to ensure key tasks are on track, and review risk register to ensure risks have been considered when task durations have been applied.
  • Perform Earned Value analysis to ensure SPI (Schedule Performance Index) results are in close proximity to target, and co-ordinate the review of schedules where SPI results indicate scheduling issues. 

The community you will join


Working within our Major Projects Division, you will join the Delivery Launch team reporting to the Senior Project Management Lead. The team exists to manage and deliver a portfolio of major projects for the Central Queensland region comprising the design and delivery of both substations and lines, creating opportunities to innovate and help drive this once in a lifetime transition.


Whilst the position will be based in Bowen Hills, there will be some requirement to travel to our field operations occasionally.

Your expertise


  • Degree level qualifications in Project Management or a related field.
  • Planning and scheduling large complex construction projects within a project delivery environment.
    Project scheduling, including managing dependencies, resource assignments, baselining and critical path analysis.
  • Earned value analysis, particularly with regards to Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
    Key project management tools including Microsoft Project (2016 or later) and Primavera P6.


In addition you will bring:


  • High attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to detect data inaccuracies.
