The opportunity:
As our Project Services & Optimisation Director you will lead and oversee integrated project services functions across the project lifecycle including project controls, assurance and risk, estimating, workforce resourcing and optimisation, reporting and analytics, information management and procurement liaison.
This role is responsible for developing and overseeing the project services and optimisation strategy including provision of critical tracking, inputs and insights to the Group leadership team to ensure the effective development and delivery of the Major Projects infrastructure program of works.
This director role will see you managing our project services associated with our Major Projects delivery portfolio, creating opportunities for input to improve our leadership's team strategic decision making.
The people you'll join:
This important senior leadership role will be part of the Major Projects Delivery leadership group, reporting direct to the General Manager Major Project Delivery and will be working closely with high performing, multi-functional, project delivery, commercial- and project services teams based in Bowen Hills in Brisbane.
You’ll lead a closely knit project services team and help develop and implement clever project planning, monitoring and control solutions to a dynamic major project delivery environment, as you grow your skills and your impact every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know.
What you'll bring:
You will bring significant experience in managing teams in the program or project delivery support functions for large-scale infrastructure projects, i.e. cost, planning, estimating and document control.
You will have to be able to demonstrate:
- Your ability to create opportunities for project optimisation in reviewing, developing and implementing initiatives for project performance monitoring processes, systems and frameworks.
- Applied knowledge of modern project controls, estimates and forecasts, resourcing, risk and procurement for large infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree level qualifications in Business, Engineering, Project Management or related disciplines or a lesser qualification if coupled with significant experience
