The opportunity:

 

As our Program Commercial Director you will deliver strategic commercial oversight and guidance across the project portfolio, overseeing the development and application of best practice commercial frameworks. 

 

Through effective internal engagement across project development and delivery teams as well as leadership of the Commercial team and function, this role will drive key commercial, operational and strategic outcomes, including head contract and subcontract management, commercial assurances, risk mitigation, high value procurement and financial performance across the portfolio.

This important senior leadership role will be part of the Major Projects Delivery leadership group, reporting direct to the General Manager Major Project Delivery and will be working closely with high performing, multi-functional, project delivery, commercial- and project services teams based in Bowen Hills in Brisbane. 

 

You’ll lead a closely knit commercial team and help achieve optimal commercial objectives, as you grow your skills and your impact every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know.

What you'll bring:

 

You will have demonstrated success and significant experience in managing commercial and contracts management teams to support the project delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.  

 

In your previous roles you have lead the development and execution of strategic commercial delivery models across multiple asset models and/or functions. 

 

In addition to this you will demonstrate:

 

  • An excellent understanding of relevant legislation and strong ability in interpreting and applying contractual terms and conditions in a major project delivery environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve and reach commercially desirable outcomes.
  • Highly developed influencing skills with the ability to influence and engage with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and partners that may sit outside of direct remit

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Degree qualified in Business, Law, Commerce, Procurement, Engineering or a relevant field coupled with extensive experience.
